The ACME V3 Platform

ACME is rolling out a major upgrade to its online technology platform.

Currently in beta testing, the “V.3” ACME platform is more robust and entirely geared towards a broadband environment, allowing for more simultaneous users, faster uploads, and a sophisticated analytical capability to track and quantify student engagement in learning 21st century skills.

Built entirely on the .net framework, the site will operate like a “social network for creative skills.”  Students will be able to bookmark and follow their favorite student artists. Tracking student activity will reveal opportunities for community development, identifying emerging talents.

Beyond its application for ACME Animation, the platform is adaptable to any academic/training domain that uses project-based, experiential learning along with a focus on mentoring.

Other media creation fields, including film-making and game design, as well as art/illustration, graphic design, and architecture, are all viable disciplines that can be taught using the ACME platform.

Even scientific fields that use visualization technologies, including computer science, engineering and medical technology, can use the ACME platform as a collaborative training work space.
