Evaluation and data collection is a core practice of ACME’s program.
Data is gathered from the web site and from annual surveys of students, teachers, and mentors to help refine and improve the program.
The following is a partial list of independently evaluated outcomes for the ACME Animation program from 2010-2011 (dated July, 2011)
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
- 99% of all high school seniors who participated in ACME were slated to graduate.
- 92% of high school seniors who participated in ACME had plans to attend college.
- 75% of high school and middle school students who participated in ACME indicated that they enjoyed school more due to ACME.
- 83% of high school and middle school students indicated that their animation skills had increased.
- 66% of high school and middle school students indicated that they were able to give and receive positive feedback with respect to student work on ACME online.

- 100% of college student participants were from community colleges.
- 86% of community college students reported that they have plans to complete their AA degree, continue on to complete their BA, technical program, or graduate degree.
- 18% of community college students had accepted employment or an internship.

- 3,194 students completed elements of 21st Century Skills through their participation with ACME.
- 79% of high school and middle school educators reported that their students access and evaluate information and can make judgments and decisions through their participation with ACME online.
- 68% of high school and middle school educators reported that their students can apply technology effectively, produce results, solve problems, analyze media and be responsible to others through their participation with ACME online.
