Focused on middle school through college, ACME’s model is to provide fee-based services on a per- student or per-class basis.

The Company has received institutional funding from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, The Ahmanson Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, the Weingart Foundation, the California Emerging Technology Fund and other funders.

The Company’s near-term plan is to scale its user community from the current level of 8,500 – 10,000 students annually to 50,000 students within 3-5 years.  At that level,  ACME expects to be self-sustaining.

ACME believes it is a new model for non-profit educational organizations.

ACME’s current content services focus on Animation as the gateway to ultimate expansion of the program to other academic domains that lend themselves to project-based, iterative student engagement.  These include all visual art and digital media disciplines (film/TV, game design), as well as computer graphics, architecture, engineering and other fields.
